  • DelMarVa Council Listening Session.  As you may be aware, the National BSA is currently in the process of reviewing its current membership standards policy with respect to sexual orientation. Part of this important process is to keep our Scouting family informed and provide an opportunity for them to give valuable feedback to the National BSA.  The Area Session is scheduled for March 14th  at Cornerstone United Methodist Church, 3135 Summit Bridge Road, Bear, DE, from 7PM to 9PM.

  • The Cecil District Pinewood Derby is back!  The District Pinewood Derby will be held on Friday, April 5 at Elkton Middle School.  Registration begins at 5:30PM.  Race begins at 6:30PM.  This is a run-off race for the top three cars from each Pack.  See District Website for details.
  • Interested in outdoor-related educational programs? Check out the following local resources:

  • The University of Delaware has a very interesting Mineralogical Museum that may be helpful to Webelos Den working on the Geology Activity pin.  Beginning Feb. 6, the museum is open Wed-Sunday from noon until 5PM and Thursdays from noon-8PM.  See:  www.udel.edu/museums/mineralogical.html for more information.

  • Order of the Arrow News:  Congratulations to the Cecil District Chapter of Nentego Lodge for achieving Honor Chapter Status (see below).  Congratulations also to new Vigil Honor member Mike Tetrault.  Mike has done a tremendous job reinvigorating the Cecil OA Chapter.
