  • Please report your service hours – link on Council website for Good Turn for America.  Log-in to this through the Commissioners tab – see menu on the left side (user name and password needed).  See recent issue of The Buzz

  • Would your Unit be interested in participating in hosting a Scout event or display at next year’s Cecil County Fair?  Contact:  Norm Wehner or Allen Sievert (410-392-5361)

  • Time to start thinking about Re-Charter!!  Cecil District will be held on Saturday, December 1st at Elkton Presbyterian Church.

  • There will be a Re-Charter Workshop at our next Round Table, Oct. 8th at 7PM at Northeast United Methodist Church.  This will be for Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leaders.   Now is great time to review your 2012 Journey to Excellence Scorecards as well as Adult Leader Training.  Cub Scout and Boy Scout program info will be virtual for this RT

Cub Scout News

  • Pow-Wow – plan now to attend this annual Cub Scout training event on Saturday,November 3, 2012.  This year’s event will be family-friendly.  

  • Cub Scout Adult Leader Awards are changing – see recent edition of The Buzz for details

  • Cecil 500 – THE BIG EVENT of the Fall season is Saturday, September 22 in downtown Elkton.  Registration is at 8:30AM sharp.  This Cubmobile event is lots of fun.  Contact Dave Greenplate at DGreenplate@gmail.com for details. 

  • Webelos Woods programs will be held at the Cub Family Weekends at Camp Rodney.  Webelos I Scouts will work on Forester, Geologist, and Naturalist; Webelos II Scouts will work on Readyman and Outdoorsman.  See: http://www.delmarvacouncil.org/cub-scout-camping/fall-cub-family-weekend/32776  for more details.
