Rodeo 2007

The State of State Park on June 9. The event was very successful with over 170 kids in the competition, 35 more than last year. DNREC hosts the event in all three counties and the Governor makes the final trophy awards in . The event is completely free and includes a BBQ and multiple prizes and a raffle. Every kid leaves with at least four or five fishing prizes from the pile!
The kids had a great time and some Packs turned the event into their own fishing derby with trophies and prizes for their Pack winners. I received this letter from one of the scouts in Pack 301 that won first prize. He won a fishing rod/reel and a Pack 3 trophy:
Dear Mr. Martin,
Thank you very, very much. I had a lot of fun. I love the things (prizes) I got. I am looking forward to going to the fishing derby again. Being is scouts is great! Thank you.
Your Webelo,
Ryan S
