Cub Scout Roundtable - September 11th, 2007

Come visit us "Down on the Farm" next month.  Besides discussing theme related activities like Pumpkin Carving Contests, Hayrides, and local events like the Harvest Moon Festival at DE Nature Society's Cloverdale Farm, we'll cover the basics of pack organization, leader training, and den management.  Did I mention recruiting - did you get your JSN info?  How about popcorn - do you have your sales packet?  hmm, corn (maize) - that leads me to our next topic

We'll also talk about October's theme "Indian Nation".  Did you know there's a Nanticoke Indian Pow-Wow on September 8th & 9th (www.nanticokeindians.org) in southern DE?  You can also attend the nature center's festival and meet Chief Quiet Thunder to learn about  American Indian life or schedule an Indian related overnight at Ashland for your pack or den (www.delawarenaturesociety.org).

What we really want to focus on at roundtables is YOUR needs and how your pack can "live long and prosper".  Please e-mail Michelle Varner (michelle.varner@verizon.net) with your specific Pack or Den questions so we can address them with the group.

** Roundtables meet bi-monthly on the second Tuesday at 7pm in the cafeteria of William Penn High School.  Wm Penn is located on Rt 141 in New Castle just south of Route 13.  The cafeteria is on the left hand side of the building.  Please enter through the side door across from the sports fields.  Proceed up the stairs to the cafeteria on your right.
