SCOUT PARTICIPANT QUALIFICATIONS
Scouts and team members must have a current BSA membership with a Boy Scout troop or Varsity Scout team.

Must be at least First Class Scouts.

Must be at least 12 years of age by the first day of the jamboree or an 11 year old that has graduated the 6th grade, but has not reached their 18th birthday by the last day of the jamboree.

Be approved by the unit leader and local council.

Participate in a pre-jamboree training experience.
-
Have filed a Jamboree Personal Health and Medical record with the council jamboree committee before the pre-jamboree training.

Submit all registration fees per the council's payment schedule.
SCOUTMASTER QUALIFICATIONS
All Jamboree Scoutmasters, First, Second and Third Assistant Scoutmasters must meet the following requirements:

Must have a current BSA membership with a Boy Scout troop or Varsity Scout team.

Scoutmasters and First Assistant Scoutmasters must be at least 21 years of age by the first day of the jamboree.

Second Assistant Scoutmasters must be at least 18 years of age by the first day of the jamboree.
-
Third Assistant Scoutmasters must be at least 18 years of age by the first day of the jamboree but not yet 21 years of age by the last day of the jamboree.
-
Scoutmaster applicants must be currently serving as a Scoutmaster or Varsity Coach.
-
For Second and Third Assistant Scoutmasters, be currently serving in any adult troop or team leadership position.
-
Scoutmaster applicants must have completed Scoutmaster or Varsity Scout Coach leader specific training.
-
All adult leaders must complete Youth Protection Training within one year of the first day of the jamboree.
-
All adult leaders must be able to serve as a role model of physical fitness. Have participated in the pre-jamboree training experience.

All adult leaders must have filed a Jamboree Personal Health and Medical record with the council jamboree committee before the pre-jamboree training.
-
All adult leaders must be approved by the local council.
-
All adult leaders must submit all registration fees per the local council's payment schedule.
DEL-MAR-VA COUNCIL CONTINGENT
-
We will take 4 Troops, each consisting of 36 Scouts and 4 Adult Leaders.
-
We will also take a 10 person Venture Crew consisting of at least 8 Scouts, and 1 or 2 Adult Leaders (depending on whether the crew is all boys or co-ed).
2013 NATIONAL SCOUT JAMBOREE FEES
The Youth member full fee for the Del-Mar-Va Council Jamboree contingent is $1400 per person with 3 possible $25 early bird payment discounts for a total possible discount price of $1325.00. Adult participants receive an additional $100 discount, 3rd Assistant Scoutmaster participants receive an additional $425.00 discount.
The 2013 National Scout Jamboree participant NATIONAL fees are as follows:

Youth participants—$850

Adult leaders ages 18-25 through July 14, 2013—$425

Adult leaders age 26 on or after July 15, 2013—$850
The payment schedule is as follows:

$100 with initial registration, non-refundable deposit
-
$425 due by March 1, 2012 with $25 early bird discount until March 1, 2012.
-
$425 due by September 1, 2012 with a $25 early bird discount until September 1, 2012.
-
$450 due by January 15, 2013 with a $25 early bird discount until January 15, 2013
The National fee covers:
-
the expense of program materials
-
food
-
insurance
-
some equipment
-
as well as the use of a tent, cot, dining shelters, stoves, fuel, and cooking utensils during your adventure at the jamboree
-
a “Jambo 13 Kit,” consisting of a duffel bag and two activity shirts for each contingent member.
The Council fee covers:

bus transportation to and from the Jamboree
-
three Jamboree shoulder strips and troop numbers for your uniforms
-
some number of trading patches
-
a Jamboree hat
-
a water bottle
-
jamboree backpack
-
nametag
-
pre-jamboree training equipment, food and facilities (Mandatory weekend - date TBD)
You will only need to bring:

sleeping bag
-
duffel (provided by the Jamboree)
-
appropriate uniforms - only 2 uniforms will be required as these will only be worn fo travel and special occasions during the Jamboree.
